Personal information
Principles for handling personal information in a Queensland residential construction context: retention, security, your rights, and how to raise concerns.
Privacy policy
1. Information we collect
When you contact us using the details on this site, we may collect name, phone, email, project intent, and message content that you voluntarily provide. The site is a static showcase without embedded video players; we do not collect audio or video through the site itself.
If you send drawing links, addresses, or site descriptions, those may include information relating to third parties; ensure you are authorised to disclose it to us. We will not ask for government ID numbers or full financial account details without explaining why they are needed.
2. Purposes of use
We use the information above to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes or pre-contract discussions, perform our agreements with you, and meet record-keeping obligations under Australian law where they apply.
During contract delivery, contact details may be used to schedule site visits, circulate minutes, send inspection notices, and provide reasonable warranty-period follow-up. If you withhold minimum information reasonably needed for quoting or performance, we may be unable to proceed.
3. Storage and security
We retain contact records for a reasonable period for business purposes and apply measures appropriate to our size to guard against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. We do not sell your personal information.
Electronic communications (including email) carry inherent risks on public networks. Use controlled links, passwords, or approved encryption for sensitive attachments, and avoid pasting full ID or card numbers into message bodies.
4. Disclosure
We may disclose information only where required or authorised by law, by a regulator, or to protect our legitimate interests, and then to the minimum extent necessary.
Where you have executed a building or project management contract and the law or the contract requires it, we may share site-related contact details with accredited consultants, inspection bodies, or suppliers as needed to perform the works, on a need-to-know basis.
5. Your rights
Under applicable law you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Contact us using the email in the Contact section; we will respond within a reasonable time.
If information we hold is inaccurate, provide verifiable grounds for correction. In some cases (for example where we must retain transaction records) deletion may not be immediate; we will explain why.
6. Policy updates
We may revise this policy from time to time. The current version will be published on this page without necessarily notifying each individual. Please review it periodically.
For material changes (such as new categories of collection or new purposes), where practicable we will highlight them on the page or reference them in later correspondence.
7. Overseas recipients and cloud services
The site is largely static; personal information is mainly held in our business email and local systems. If we later use offshore servers or cross-border collaboration tools for mail or documents, we will update this policy with jurisdiction, safeguards, and any choices available to you.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have handled personal information inconsistently with applicable law, contact us first using the email below. You may also complain to a regulator as provided by law from time to time.
